Crank installed and cases buttoned up today. Details below.

notes:

• Sludge trap installed. End plug punched at three points.
• Flywheel bolts installed with 262 threadlocker and torqued to 20ft/lbs
• Con rods installed with new nuts, a drop of 262 threadlocker, and torqued to 22ft/lbs. Rods installed in original position and orientation.
• Right case installed on crank with generic installer tool (no blows)
• Pinion shaft spacer and pinion gear installed. Nut torqued to 55ft/lbs with 242 threadlocker.
• Left main bearing installed onto sprocket shaft using generic installer.
• New sprocket shaft main seal installed in left case. Sealer used on perimeter.
• Cams and cam gears installed and indexed. These cams use three-keyway index system. Gears installed using brass drift while cams supported directly from underside.
• Timed breather disk with new spring installed on intake cam. Confirmed engagement with slots in cam. Tach drive fitting installed on exhaust cam in case tach drive ever re-installed.
• Cases bolted together after assembly lube applied to all bushing and bearing surfaces. Anaerobic sealer used on case bolt shanks, 242 threadlocker used on nuts. Blind bolts torqued to 13ft/lbs. Through bolt nuts torqued to 20ft/lbs. Threebond 1104 applied to case mating surface. Cams and crank confirmed freely rotating.
• Install various drain plugs and screens in crankcases.
• Cylinder deck studs that were removed to get to case spigot screws reinstalled with 262 threadlocker.
